Confronting climate change through locally controlled forestry: The G3 perspective

The G3 stand at COP16 in Cancun, Mexico - 2010

This leaflet presents the work of the G3 (Three Rights Holders Group) and its commitment to increase efforts at climate change adaptation and mitigation by working together - locally and globally - for: stronger recognition and enforcement of rights to forests and land; capacity-building and improved market access; and appropriate benefit-sharing in REDD and related programs.

The Three Rights Holders Group (G3) is a network for collaboration between family forest owners, community forestry and tribal and Indigenous Peoples of the tropical forest. The three alliances form the G3 network cooperating to promote locally controlled forestry and sustainable forest management.
